My life...: Congrats Amy and Scott! (Part 1)

Amy is Randy's friend from high school and we recently embarked on a road trip with his friend Tim and Tim's girlfriend Valery to the great state of New Jersey to their hometown of Vernon for her wedding!
I would like to say first and foremost, New Jersey is the most underrated state ever. Everyone likes to refer to it as the "Armpit" of America. I believe that's because most people have never ventured west of the New Jersey Turnpike.
Travel west and you will find rolling hills and pastures, ski resorts and hiking, antique shops, and lots of mom and pop shops to eat at and of course a diner or two.
Some Fun facts about New Jersey:
1) It's home of the Olympic Equestrian team training center
2) It's the Diner Capital of the world
3) It's home to the Miss America Pageant
4) The first baseball game was played in New Jersey
5) It is the leader is blueberry and cranberry production

So last Friday morning at approximately 3am we met at Tim's house and piled up in his excursion and hit the road. I fell asleep while Tim and Randy chatted through the early hours and drove up 95!
I woke up around Richmond around 5am and then passed out again until we arrived in DC.

Once again I took a quick snooze (I'm clearly not a good companion in a car trip unless I'm driving) and we stopped once more before Baltimore where I finally got some coffee and attempted to join in on conversation and reminisce in the memories of taking this exact route north to Boston with my mom and brother every summer.

We got into Delaware and finally got into New Jersey where we took a left somewhere at headed to Vernon.

What's up buddy?

The wedding started at 3. We arrived in Vernon at 12 and had to leave no later than 1:45 to arrive at the Church on time.

Upon our arrival at the hotel, we quickly regrouped and got lunch. I grabbed a "Real" bagel sandwich, a taylor ham, egg and cheese (hold the salt, pepper and ketchup) and hit the shower. We met at the set time and headed to the church to see about a wedding, my attempts to get good pictures of the ceremony failed because we didn't sit close enough the isle and the Priest requested we not take any pictures out of respect for the church and the ceremony, I can handle that. Amy was GORGEOUS and the ceremony got me all teary eyed!!

After another quick trip back to the hotel to catch the shuttle, which was actually a rented school bus! I thought it was awesome! We headed to Perona Farms for the reception. It was excellent. There was so much food in the cocktail hour alone we had to not fill up before dinner (which was 4 courses and delicious) The were cute with the cake cutting and the toasts were great! We danced until we couldn't dance anymore and when it was all over we gathered right back on the bus and headed back to the hotel! It was a fabulous day and evening! Congrats Amy and Scott!
